Genetic Engineering in Humans

Genetics is also called the science of heredity, derived from the word genos (latin language) which means the tribes - ethnic or origin. In "etymology" means the origin of the incident. However, genetics is not a science about the origins of the incident even though the limits - a certain extent it has something to do with it. Genetics is the study about the ins and outs of biological information transfer from generation to generation. Because of the way over the course of biological information underlying the differences and similarities between the properties of individual organisms, it may briefly be said that genetics is the study of heredity. In science is learned about how the nature of the offspring is inherited in their offspring, and possible variations that arise therein.

Genetics need to be studied, so that we can know the nature - the nature of our own offspring, and every living creature that exist around our environment. We as humans do not live autonomous and isolated from living things around us but we are having with their ecosystems. Therefore, in addition we must know the nature - the nature of the decline of our own bodies, we also need to know the plants and animals. Besides the principle - the principle of genetics is the same for all beings.

Developmental genetics started in the development of biotechnology is growing, it is with the temukannya recombinant DNA technology. Therefore, the development of more advanced genetics. With the development of recombinant DNA is the optimization of biotransformation in a biotechnological process can be obtained with a more focused and direct. Recombinant DNA technology or genetic engineering allows us to construct, not just isolate, a highly productive strain. Prokaryotes or eukaryotes can be used as "biological factories" to produce insulin, interferon, growth hormone, anti-virus material, and a wide range of protein size. Recombinant DNA technology also enables the production of certain compounds that are naturally very small amount, so it is not economical when it is extracted directly from the source. Now the organism which is the object of genetic engineering, not only to plants, animals, cells, and bacteria, but humans are now the object of genetic engineering. Scientists are constantly looking for ways on genetic engineering on humans, keep digging, and trying to figure out how to successfully realize their desire to be able to do genetic engineering on humans. Surely this is a very risky thing among the people and their pros and cons to it appear. We already know that humans were created by God, the One Almighty created the universe, in the context of religion is considered to have occurred would have been distorted beliefs of our faith in God who creates, like people say "Human Genetic Engineering against it asequal kekusaan God. We are created by God, we are now created by him trying to make that into his power ", some scientists in this field are considered 'crazy' with a desire to accomplishment. In Islam, has described the process of human creation, God said:"And indeed We created man from a quintessence (derived) from the ground. Then We placed him as semen (stored) in a solid place (the womb). Then We made the semen blood clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, and a lump of flesh bones that we made, and then we wrap the bones with flesh. Then We made him a creature of the form (other). So it be to Allah Almighty, Creator of the Most Good. "(Al Mukminun: 12-14)Genetic engineering is the engineering of human genetic information in humans starts from exploring the functions, roles and capabilities of each of the genes in the human body, some of these engineered genes are genes that determine human physical (human body parts to make it look more complete as desired ), cancer-causing genes which prevent cancer growth and anticipate tumbuuhnya on the human body, genes that make up the memories, the genes that regulate the level of intelligence and thinking patterns, and even specific genes that regulate the human age (or younger in order to slow down the aging). This is based on the human desire to create a perfect man, the man who with perfect intelligence, a human with perfect physical, and perhaps humans are immune to the disease. The process of Genetic Engineering in Humans"Human Cloning"Human cloning is the process of genetic engineering for human reproduction is asexual (without starting the process of egg fertilization by sperm, but taken from the nucleus (nucleus) of a cell. In the technology of human cloning (human cloning), in addition to required cells to be cloned, it is necessary Similarly ovum (egg) and the uterus, since ovum can not be cloned and without a uterus, cloned cells in the ovum will die.In the process of human cloning, which was first performed on sperm and ovum fertilized outside the womb, after cleavage (up to 64 divisions) and then implanted in the uterus, then its nucleus removed and replaced with the nucleus of human cells to be cloned or done by taking cells body (somatic cells), which has taken her cell nuclei (nucleus) of the human body which then implanted in the egg (ovum) female. Differences in natural conception (which is common according to nature) comes from the union of sperm and ovum contains 23 chromosomes which have 23 chromosomes, when fused to 46 the number of chromosomes so that the resulting child will have the characteristic traits from both parents. While in the process of cloning, cells taken from human body already contains 46 chromosomes, so that the children who result from cloning only inherits the properties of the source making the body cell nucleus. The next process similar to the usual process of pregnancy.

Simple explanation of the cloning process:Preparing stem cells: an initial cell which will grow into a variety of body cells. These cells taken from humans who want cloned.· Stem cells taken the cell nucleus that contains genetic information and then separated from the cell.· Prepare the egg cell: a cell taken from a female volunteer and essentially separated.· The core cells from stem cells implanted into an egg cell· The egg cell is triggered to occur division and growth. After dividing (day two) into embryonic cells.· Embryo cells continue to divide (called a blastocyst) begin to break away (day five) and implanted into the womb ready.· The embryo grows in the womb of a baby with a genetic code identical to the donor stem cells.Source:
